Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson is a celebrated Canadian singer-songwriter, visual artist, and author from Hamilton, widely regarded as one of the country’s most distinctive voices in roots and alternative rock music. Wilson first rose to prominence in the 1990s as the frontman of the rock band Junkhouse, whose gritty sound and songs like “Out of My Head” helped define Canadian alternative rock of the era.

Over the years, Wilson has continued to evolve creatively through projects such as the acclaimed roots trio Blackie and the Rodeo Kings and the psychedelic folk project Lee Harvey Osmond, blending elements of folk, blues, rock, and Americana. His work has earned multiple awards and national recognition, including appointment to the Order of Canada for his contributions to music and the arts.

Beyond music, Wilson is also a respected visual artist and author. His bestselling memoir Beautiful Scars: Steeltown Secrets, Mohawk Skywalkers and the Road Home recounts his powerful personal journey of discovering his Mohawk heritage later in life and reconnecting with his Indigenous identity, a theme that now informs much of his artistic work.
