Jane Goodall
Jane Goodall is a world-renowned primatologist, anthropologist, and conservationist whose groundbreaking research transformed the way we understand chimpanzees and the natural world. Born in London, Goodall began her pioneering fieldwork in 1960 in Gombe Stream National Park, where she observed chimpanzees using tools and exhibiting complex social behaviours—discoveries that challenged long-held beliefs about the differences between humans and animals.
Over the decades, Goodall has become one of the world’s leading voices for wildlife conservation and environmental protection. She founded the Jane Goodall Institute in 1977, supporting research, conservation, and community-based programs around the world. Through initiatives like Roots & Shoots, she has also inspired millions of young people to take action for animals, people, and the environment.
A celebrated author and speaker, Goodall continues to travel globally to advocate for conservation, sustainability, and hope for the planet, remaining one of the most influential environmental leaders of our time. 🌿🦧
