Nassau, Bahamas - 2025
Nassau and Paradise Island delivered an ideal mix of history, adventure, and laid-back Caribbean charm, with one experience standing out above the rest. The highlight of the trip was a half-day Aqua Shores boat tour, which offered everything you imagine when you picture the Bahamas. Cruising across brilliant turquoise water, stopping to swim and snorkel, and feeling completely disconnected from the everyday made it an unforgettable way to experience the islands from the sea.
Back on land, Nassau offered plenty to explore. We visited the Pirates of Nassau Museum, toured the historic Graycliff Cigar Factory to see cigars being hand-rolled, and took a Segway tour that made navigating the city both fun and effortless. Wandering downtown to pick up authentic Bahamian rum cake was a must and added a delicious local touch to the trip.
Paradise Island balanced out the adventure with pure relaxation, including a round of golf set against stunning tropical scenery. We stayed at Comfort Suites Paradise Island, which turned out to be one of the best decisions of the trip. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, with breakfast included each morning, making it an easy and stress-free home base. The real bonus, though, was full access to Atlantis. Being able to enjoy Atlantis’ pools, beaches, and water park without paying Atlantis prices felt like an insider travel hack and elevated the entire experience. Together, Nassau and Paradise Island offered a trip that was equal parts exploration, excitement, and smart travel planning.
