Hollerado
Hollerado was a Canadian indie rock band formed in Ottawa, Ontario in 2007. Known for their high-energy performances and catchy, anthemic songs, the band was fronted by singer and guitarist Menno Versteeg, alongside bandmates Jake Boyd, Dean Baxter, and Nick Boyd.
Hollerado gained national attention with their debut album Record in a Bag, which featured the hit single Americanarama. Their music blended indie rock, power pop, and punk influences, helping them build a devoted fanbase through relentless touring and lively live shows.
The band released several albums throughout the 2010s and became a staple of Canada’s indie rock scene before announcing their farewell tour in 2019. Even after disbanding, Hollerado’s energetic songs and DIY spirit continue to influence Canadian indie music.
