Canada vs. Russia CHL Game
The Canada–Russia Series was an annual junior hockey event that featured a team of Canadian all-stars from the Canadian Hockey League competing against Russia’s national junior team. The series brought together top prospects from Canada’s three major junior leagues — the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League, and Quebec Major Junior Hockey League — in a multi-game showdown against Russia.
Often used as preparation for the IIHF World Junior Championship, the series showcased many of the best young players in the world and frequently featured future National Hockey League stars. Each year, games were played in different Canadian cities, giving fans a chance to see elite junior talent and experience the intensity of the historic Canada–Russia hockey rivalry.
The event built on the long tradition of competition between the two hockey powers, a rivalry that dates back to the legendary Summit Series, and it remained a highlight of the CHL season for many years.
